Christmas Fun!

So we've been up to a lot lately. Today we made it to the new Ft. Worth Children's Museum. Very cool! Will definitely be going back. They had an entire hospital play area with newborn baby dolls and all the fun stuff that goes with them. Addie was in heaven. She got lots of practice for her new sister thats on her way :) Plus she got to ride in a fun ambulance with her good friends Adley and Lily.

First she had to weigh the baby.

Then stock pile all the babies. Hmmm...not sure what this means.

We also did a little grocery shopping there.

And of course hit the 3D movie in a mini IMAX like theatre. Very cool. Addie didn't even freak out for the entire show. Impressive. She did however take off these super trendy glasses as soon as she could get her hands on them.

Last week we had her first Christmas program at the church. So cute.

Pretty much the entire time she pointed to all of us watching her in the audience, saying "Mama...Mimi". And making sure to let her teacher behind her know exactly where we were.
Funny :)

Uncle Ryan came to the big show. I remember the days that I went to his programs. Mostly talent shows of him singing Back Street Boys. Fun times :) Oh, how you've grown Uncle Ryan.

Addie has been helping decorate the house. Grandma gave her some window stickers, which in my book is currently the greatest invention ever. That girl will play with them for hours!

We also went and saw Santa. Not exactly a favorite of Addie's. She screamed bloody murder. Hopefully I will get the pic scanned and up on the blog. Hilarious!

So after the scary Santa, she went over to this HUGE dog in the store we were at and pretty much begged for it...with her puppy dog face and all. We recently had to put our dog Stewart down, so Isaac and I became the sucker parents and let her have it. I know, terrible, but ever since we said goodbye to "old man" Stewart, she walks in the house and says, "dog..dog...dog". How sad is that. We miss Stewart, he was with us since we got married. For now we will all have to love on the big fluffy stuffed animal dog that Addie has fallen in love with.

ICE

So we are the parents that attempted the Gaylord's ICE exhibit with our 20 month old. Not sure why, but yes...we are "those" parents. What were we thinking! Luckily we had our good friends the Fergusons with us, who also had a toddler on hand. Chaos is a good word to describe the adventure. After a two hour line, that in our defense we had no idea was going to take that amount of time, we finally made it to the ice which continued to be another line. Did I mention that they don't allow strollers in there. Uh, yeah, try putting on a huge parka over your huge pregnant self, then holding a toddler that does not fit into the oversized one that was provided for her. Doesn't exactly work. It's kind of like a marshmallow trying to hold a baby marshmallow...a heavy marshmallow that is. Luckily Isaac had the baby marshmallow most of the time. And somehow my daughter was still awake and not screaming her head off by the time we entered it.

And because the parka was so enourmous, Addie couldn't exactly walk. She attempted and fell flat on her face. Frozen face that is...ouch!

The temperature in the exhibit was 3 degrees. For those of you up north (Sarah), this is probably not that big of a deal, however, I was freezing in there with the huge parka on. I don't know how you do it up there Sarah?

This girl still hasn't caught on to smiling for the camera. Even with Dad acting goofy. One day she'll get it :)

And here we are trying to get her hands out of the sleeves. IMPOSSIBLE! Somehow Isaac eventually forced them out.

The exhibit theme was The Grinch. Very cute and very impressive. Quite an experience. Not sure we would do it again. At least not without some major planning ahead of time. Oh, the ignorance of first time parents :)

Miss Fluffy

I couldn't resist posting this pic. Doesn't everyone need a pink fluffy vest :) Now if we could just get some boots to fit over those cute chunky ankles.

It's Snowing!

This is what Addie and I woke up to this morning!

It's a rare day to get get snow in this part of the world. Addie loved it. Although I think she loved it more from the window view. She was a little confused as to why everything was so wet when we went outside.

Little cutie. This hat is way too small. Got to love that look :)
