Happy Birthday Isaac!

Isaac turned 30 this week, and in my book when you have a big birthday you should get an entire week to celebrate. So that we did.

Addie and I celebrated with him on Tuesday with his favorite yellow cake with chocolate icing. After some last minute borrowing from my sweet neighbor of a few essentials I forgot, I actually pulled off making it from scratch this year. Turned out pretty good. Should have taken a picture just in case the whole "from scratch" thing never happens again :)

Then on Thursday Clay, Isaac's best friend came in all the way from Del Rio. They played golf all day Friday out by the Gaylord Texan and we threw him a surprise party that night at the Glass Cactus. There was a 80's cover band there that was hilarious! Wigs, tight leather pants, and florescent shirts. They were great. Lots of dancing and hanging out with friends. Unfortunately the surprise part was given away an hour before the party when one of his college buddies text him and said he couldn't make it to the party. Apparently he missed the part in the evite about it being a "surprise". I knew I should have sent that evite to his wife. Almost pulled it off :)

Here is my attempt of snapping a pic of the band. Trust me, there outfits were almost as amusing as the performance.

Katie and Ryan. They are in our small group from church. Katie and I tore it up on the dance floor :)

Clay, Shelby, Chad, and Kevin. Some of Isaac's college friends

Me and cute prego Katie Martin. She is due in September. Such a trooper that night.

We had a blast. I think Isaac enjoyed it as much as his wife did :) Happy Birthday Isaac! So glad I got to celebrate your big day. Love you!

College Friends

Met some of my college friends at the Galleria this week. You might be thinking, "oh how fun, i love shopping there"...Not exactly. We met at the play area so we could let all our kids run around. Never imagined I would drive to the Galleria so I could sit at an indoor play area. Oh, but I'm not complaining, it was so great to see my friends and all their kids :) And much easier to meet at a place that allows your kid to go nuts.

This is my friend LeTanya and her sweet little girl Tori, who is about a week older than Addie.

Amber with one of two, Judd. Her older one is probably wrestling some other kid right now. He is all boy. And Amy with one of her two, Kinsley..who is precious :) So great to see these girls. We missed Darrah (my old roomate), but I have a feeling she had a much better time at the shower she went to...eating cake and not playing with millions of babies. Here is a pic of most of us pre jobs and kids. Where does the time go? Seems like yesterday.

The baby doll tease

So Addie has this new game she plays. It starts with her grabbing one of her baby doll lovies. Not to be confused with a "normal" doll or stuffed animal, which we have plenty of. These are really just little blankets with some kind of doll attached. Kind of weird when you think about it. Anyway, the girl gets all excited as she shows it off to you.

This face cracks me up.

She then offers it to you, like hey I'm an amazing 14 month old that knows how to share. Ha, don't be fooled.

Then before you can get it, she pulls it back and laughs her head off. I'm sure she's thinking, "Yes, they fell for it again!"

And that my friends is the game that this Mommy gets to play a zillion times a day right now. Such a tease :)

The big pink ball

This is my child in Walmart the other day. Obsessed with the rack of balls they had, so we gave her one to hold. Then she refused to let go of it the entire trip through Walmart. The thing is as big as her! So now we are the owners of a big obnoxious pink ball..Fun!

Beach Baby

Playing at the beach. This girl is without a doubt a water baby. Loved every minute of our beach vacation with Mimi and Grandpa down at Port Aransas. Great weather, great food, and lots of relaxing. I already miss it.

Addie and Grandpa at the beach. These two could stay out there all day. You would never know they are related by their skin color. Beach Grandpa has had a little more fun in the sun than little fair Addie :)

Hangin with Mimi. Addie is pointing to her empty napkin of food. She will sit with Mimi all day as long as the food keeps coming.

Passed out. Ahhh...nothing better than a sleeping baby on the beach.
